Commands/Dialog Box Items

Width tolerance value Edit Field

With a width tolerance value of 0 (default value), RC-WinTrans acknowledges that a dialog box control's caption text fits the specified width of the control without any additional space.  A positive tolerance value (up to 10 DLUs) constitutes an additional space between the text and the control's absolute width.  A negative tolerance value accepts a hang-over of the text.

Height tolerance value Edit Field

With a height tolerance value of 0 (default value), RC-WinTrans acknowledges that a dialog box control's caption text fits the specified height of the control.  A positive tolerance value (up to 10 DLUs) constitutes an additional space between the text and the control's absolute height.  A negative tolerance value accepts a hang-over of the text.

Ignore item's height Checkbox

Check this option to ignore the height of a control when performing a text fit check.  The unit of the tolerance value depends on whether the item comes from a Win32 file or a .NET file:

WIN32:

.NET:
