Error when trying to automate ExcelImportExport

After installing the latest version (9.4 downloaded yesterday) I tried to automate the Excel export through the command line and VBA but I always get an error -1.
I noticed, that the documentation is not fully aligned with this version (it still refers to ExcelImportExportAddon, omitting the 'V3' suffix, the VBA method has a slightly different set of parameters) and would like to ask for an up-to-date sample command line or VBA call to get me going.
